When Shevon Potts, a mom in the UK, bought her daughter a talking baby doll from the clearance rack at an Argos store, she got a little bit more than she bargained for.
As soon as she brought it home and opened it up, she realized there was a very good reason why it was being sold at such a discount and shared the bizarre situation on .
Yeah, that’s not exactly the sound of a baby crying. Maybe the sound of one being conceived, but certainly not of one crying.
She wrote to Argos on their Facebook page:
Of course this is the Internet and thevideo could even be a hoax, but Argos’ social media department certainly took it seriously.
And among the 1,800 comments on the post were people who had a similar, shall we say, “situation” with one of the dolls.
It turns out she couldn’t verify the exact transaction because it happened so long ago, so she just took out the batteries and the problem was solved.
You’re not getting the doll back.
The littlegirl is happy and we know that the doll certainly is, so all’s well that ends well as long as you keep the batteries out of it.
