President sticking with ‘most transparent administration ever’ claim!/ZekeJMiller/status/302183515104104448

Zeke, stop dictating Obama’s words and start reporting @zekejmiller: Obama: “This is the most transparent administration in history.”

— Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) February 14, 2013

Twitchy told you that PolitiFact is looking for ways to pass the time now that its mission of helping President Obama’s reelection effort is complete. We should have put PolitiFact’s fact-checking staff on speed-dial for the president’s Google Hangout appearance today. We’re not the only ones in disbelief that the president is still delivering the “most transparent administration ever” line, which has become a running joke among conservatives. To his credit, he’s the first president in history to even agree to a Google Hangout chat; no other president can claim that.

President’s chat with people on Google Hangout is one of the most transparent acts of a government I’ve seen. The President is accessible

The claim of transparency came in response to a question about the administration’s policy on drone strikes, but quickly turned to the White House visitor logs.

Obama says this is the most transparent WH in history. Cites visitor logs.

In the Google Hangout, Obama says his admin. is most transparent. Cites first example: Logging all names of ppl. visiting White House. Huh?

Fact check? RT @zekejmiller: Obama: “This is the most transparent administration in history. I can document that this is the case.”

Obama: “This IS the most transparent administration in history.” “Benghazi btw is not a good example of that.”

— Michal Conger (@MichalConger) February 14, 2013

It’s important to note that the tweet above isn’t sarcastic; the president really did concede that his administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack was a poor example of transparency. Don’t blame him, though; blame Mitt Romney. That mess was “largely driven by campaign stuff,” he explained.

16 trillion pinnochios RT @zekejmiller: Obama: “This is the most transparent administration in history.”
