Swimmer with no legs and one arm makes the Paralympics
Lyndon Longhorne survived meningitis in the mid-90′s, but not before he had to have both legs amputated and his right arm at the elbow. On a Facebook page dedicated to him, it says, “Lyndon is amazing and everyone who knows him will agree. Lyndon’s ambition is to swim at the Paralympics.”
Yesterday he achieved that ambition by breaking the British record in the multi-classification men’s 150m individual medley for his class at the British Gas Swimming Championships.
